Anthropology – New for YAP 2017

Do you “dig” bones? Want to “brush up” on your excavation skills? In this class, students will discover “what lies beneath” not only the ground, but also the roots of human ancestry. From evolution to excavation, students will learn about what it truly means to be an Anthropologist. Spanning the wide range of Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology, and Nautical Archaeology, students will “unearth” all the possibilities this field has to offer. Included in this class are lessons in osteology, flint knapping, prehistoric weaponry, and even a trip to an actual archaeological dig site! While these examples only “scratch the surface” of what’s in store, students can rest assured that this class will “go down in history” as what’s sure to be a legendary find!
